Helpful Definitions

Trustor
The person who creates and funds the trust (also called a grantor or settlor).
Beneficiary
A person or organization chosen to receive assets from your estate or trust.
Successor Trustee
The person who takes over managing your trust if you pass away or can no longer serve.
Executor
The person named in your will to settle your estate.
Advance Health Care Directive
Names who makes medical decisions for you and records your wishes.
Durable Power of Attorney
Authorizes a trusted person to manage your money and legal affairs.
